An all-around athlete, Taylor-Klaus was the starting catcher on their high school's Varsity Softball team while only a Freshman; they also played 3rd base. In the summer of 2012, Taylor-Klaus moved to Los Angeles, California to begin their acting career in earnest. Their first notable professional role was that of "Bullet", a homeless but street-wise teen, on the third season of the television drama The Killing on AMC, which aired in 2013. Writing about playing Bullet, they said that "to be an actor is to want to visit the dark places that humans strive so hard to stay away from."
