BuzzBee (formerly known as the Honey Nut Cheerios Bee) is the mascot of the flavor and spin-off brand "Honey Nut Cheerios" of the Cheerios breakfast cereal, introduced in 1979 by General Mills. As the first spin-off brand from Cheerios, it is sweeter than the original, with a honey and almond flavor. This is also the most popular spin-off, as seeing it shares the same traits as its predecessor, and General Mills being able to promote it through TV advertisement. The first Honey Nut Cheerios child actor was Lisa Lambert. In the 2000's, a contest was held to name the bee, and in the end, his name became "BuzzBee".
