Allusions:

  • This segment is a parody of Hannah Montana. It also pokes fun of Jamie Lynn Spears' show Zoey 101, in particular the rumor that the show ended because of Spears falling pregnant.
  • This segment's plot and title reference John Lennon, who was murdered outside his apartment building, the Dakota, by a deranged fan, Mark David Chapman, not long after getting Lennon's autograph. The fan in the beginning of the segment carries with her what would appear to be a copy of Catcher in the Rye, another Chapman reference.
  • Lilly and Oliver pretending Miley's dead body is still alive is a referece to the comedy Weekend at Bernie's.
  • One of the students complaining about Miley's dead body smelling like a baby filled with Indian food is a reference to Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.

Trivia / Info:

  • The head of Miley's boss' at Disney is that of Miles Mayhem as seen in Trakker in Love but with slimmer eyebrows.
  • Also Scott Trakker, from the same segment, appears as one of the students seen in the classroom after the scene with Lindsey Lohan at the Sushi Restaurant.
  • Lindsay Lohan's quote: "Who I gotta fuck to get a fresh round of Minnie Drivers around here?" is similar to Brian Griffin's iconic quote: "Whose leg do you have to hump to get a dry martini around here?" from the animated sitcom Family Guy.
  • None of the dolls used in the sketch are from the actual Hannah Montana line.
  • The whole class seems to be crying yet the teacher points out that Lilly and Oliver are crying.
  • Hannah Montana's wig in this segment seems to be much shorter than in the television show.
  • Dana Daurey made an appearance as Veronica in Disney Channel's real-life TV show Hannah Montana.

Goofs / Nitpicks:

  • Miley is never seen without her blonde Hannah wig in the segment. Lilly and Oliver plan to take Miley to her midterm - yet they forget she's wearing her Hannah wig.
